Step-by-Step Instructions
- Visit the Birth & Death Registration website (bdris.gov.bd)
- Click on "Birth Registration" option
- Select registration type (online/late registration)
- Fill out the birth registration form with accurate details
- Upload parents' NID/birth certificates
- Upload hospital birth certificate (if applicable)
- Submit the application
- Visit local birth registration office if required
- Receive birth registration number
- Download/collect official birth certificate
Documents Required
- Parents' National ID cards - Photocopies
- Hospital/clinic birth certificate (if birth in hospital)
- Marriage certificate of parents
- Affidavit from chairman/councilor (for late registration)
- Educational certificate (for late registration above 18 years)
Processing Time
Online Registration (within 45 days of birth): Instant to 7 days
Late Registration: 15-30 days
Late registration fee applies for registration after 45 days
